Rainbow chard, lemon, apple, beet for breakfast makes a tasty and beautiful drink. It's a vibrant magenta color. A zucchini chopped into sticks and some baby carrots dipped in pesto. I used it as a dip rather than tossing the veggies in it. Had a banana and kiwi for snacks during the day. Went to a friends house for "dinner" and to watch my favorite show Top Chef. I salted and chopped my kale before teaching class and then chopped and added the avocado on the spot. Kate was making a delicious Indian dinner that smelled so good as I walked in. It was hard to pass up. I didn't pass up the glass of organic white wine. I figured it's organic and it's a fruit! I thought watching all the gourmet eats on Top Chef would be torture but it wasn't so bad but maybe that's because I had wine in hand. I have to say though that the reuben inspired eggs benedict I might have to recreate.

Well after a major surge in energy last week and over the weekend, this week was a different story. My cycle started which always brings my energy level down and as it turns out I was also coming down with the flu that revealed itself in full glory on Thursday. I've been enjoying Kundalini class on Wednesday's but knowing it's high energy I opted for a restorative practice at home with poses good during the menstrual cycle. And a lot of deep breathing.
